ONE-WAY RENTALS
A one-way fee of $260 applies where pick up originates from Cairns, Brisbane, Ballina - Byron Bay (Gateway Airport), Sydney (Mascot and for Breezer Downtown City locations), Melbourne or Adelaide, and also returns to one of these locations. Should the hire originate or return to or from Darwin, Alice Springs or Perth, the one-way fee will be $360.
Only Breezer vehicle collection is allowed from the Sydney downtown city office. No vehicle
returns available to the Downtown office.
SECURITY DEPOSIT OR REDUCTION OPTIONS
INSURANCE OPTIONS
STANDARD RATE (minimum level of insurance and already included in the quoted rate). Standard rate leaves you still to pay a Security Deposit of AU$3,500 (Debited and refunded if no claims) or options as below can be taken to reduce bond/excess. (Options are payable at the depot except All Inclusive which should be booked when reserving the vehicle).
Insurance option with Standard Rate:
Excess Reduction 1: AU$20 per day reduces Security Deposit to AU$1500 (debited)
Excess Reduction 2: AU$30 per day reduces Security Deposit to AU$220 (Credit Card imprint only)
Tyre and Windscreen Cover
NZ$5 per day. Cover for these items can be purchased in addition to Excess reduction Option 2, or is included in the Smart Pack. It will cover you for unlimited windscreen and trye accidental damage.
Additional Protection Coverage
For an additonal one-off cost of AU$89, the cost of damage resulting from a single vehicle roll over will be covered. Additional Protection Coverage can only be purchased in conjunction with Liability Option 2 or the Smartpack.
SMART PACK INSURANCE - FULL INSURANCE PLUS BENEFITS
Smartpack available for AU$38 per day. All Inclusive package reducing bond to Nil, the Smart pack includes: LP Gas Refill - Camping Stools (1 per person travelling) - Extra driver fee - Tyre and windscreen cover (Maximum charge AU$1900)
CREDIT CARD FEES FOR FINAL PAYMENT
Credit Card fees are applied to any payments made at the Backpacker Depot
EXTRA DRIVER FEE
Extra drivers will be charged $5 per day, per additional driver, per rental. Extra driver fee is included in Smart Pack

EARLIEST AND LATEST PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF TIMES
The Brisbane, Ballina Airport, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth branches
are open from 7:30am to 4pm, September to April, and 10am to 4pm, May to August.
The Alice Springs, Darwin, and Cairns branches are open from 7:30am to 4pm, May through to October, and 10am to 4pm, November to April. Sydney downtown city depot (Breezer only) is open from 10.00am to 5.30pm (Sunday closing at 3.30pm) September to April, and 10am to 4.30pm (Sunday closed) May to August.
Britz requests that clients collecting or returning their Vehicle to be in the office by 3:30pm.
MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD
The minimum hire period is five days or for hires between December 15 and January 5 it is seven days. Minimum hire periods vary for One way hires.
DRIVERS LICENSES
For Nomad and Breezer, all drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a full and current Australian driver's licence, or an International Driving Licence, or a licence from the country of origin with English translation. For Warrior, Quattro, Wanderer and Off-Roader vehicles, all drivers must be at least 21 years old.
BOOKING AMENDMENTS WITH FLEX RATES
A AU$25 fee will apply to amend a flex booking. If a change to a flex booking is made then the booking will be calculated by using the original flex rate if the hire is being extended. If the hire length is being reduced and/or a change of location then and the flex rate has increased then this higher rate will be applied.
